In the lore, Souls are poker degenerates stuck in the Echos, still Sweating the action even in death. In the product, Souls are redeemable prizes as described in the Official Rules and may be shown at a defined redemption value (for example, 5 Souls = $1.00) where permitted and after successful verification.
Sweat is non-redeemable play currency. You use Sweat to enter GhostSweat contests and build lineups around live poker streams. Sweat can be granted for free through sign-up bonuses, missions, and promotions, or optionally purchased in Sweat packs. Sweat has no cash value and cannot be withdrawn, transferred, or redeemed.
In the GhostSweat universe, you play as a Ghost haunting live poker from the Echos—the invisible ghost layer around the game. The pros at the table have no idea you’re there. Your Sweat collides with real-world Variance to crack Shards and reveal Souls, but nothing you do ever changes the cards, pots, or payouts in the poker game itself.
GhostSweat uses a fantasy scoring engine that converts events from live poker streams into points. Big pots, showdowns, and hero calls are worth more than small, uneventful hands. You pick players and a Captain from the table, and their combined performance drives your score. Placement on the leaderboard determines how many Souls you can earn from the posted prize table.
